A Sahara desert guide from Merzouga and a traveller from Finland who fell in love with Morocco — and with each other.
Hi — we're Amar and Edita. Amar grew up right here in the Merzouga region, on the edge of the great Erg Chebbi dunes, in a Berber family that has known this desert for generations. He's spent more than fifteen years driving and guiding travellers all over southern Morocco, and he knows this land the way only someone born to it really can.
We actually met in Bali, of all places — two travellers who got talking and never really stopped. Amar kept telling Edita about home, and eventually invited her to come and see Morocco for herself. She did, and she fell for it completely: the warmth, the colours, the endless desert and the kindness of the people we met along the way.
That's really where all of this comes from. Edita wanted to share Morocco with other travellers the same way Amar had shared it with her — so we started our own little travel company and gave it her name: Edita Morocco Tours. We're based in Merzouga, we keep every trip private and planned around you, and when you message us, you're talking straight to us — not a call centre.

Amar grew up in the Merzouga dunes and has guided here for over 15 years. We know which dune catches the best sunrise and which little place makes the best tagine.
